Examples of service within the Creighton Engage platform includes:
- Weekly homework tutoring at an after-school program
- SCSJ Service & Justice Trips
- Civic engagement and advocacy events, such as Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice
- Preparation for community engagement such as formation and orientation
- An internship with a non-profit organization
- Volunteering at a food pantry
Some community events are great leadership and social opportunities, but do not fall under the institutional definition of service. These examples which should not be entered on this platform include:
- Decorating residence halls
- Membership with a student leadership organization
- Pet-sitting
- Social events such as living-learning community Friendsgiving
